A number of topics are covered extensively, such as agriculture, industry, party system, sports, firms and companies. Information on a variety of other subjects can be found as well.
Arranged alphabetically by subject. Some of the entries (such as Foreign Policy, Bulgarian Communist Party and others), due both to the specificity of the field they cover and their size, are arranged alphabetically by geographical name within the subject.
The file numbers (e.g. file number 805) the subject cards (Writers) are sometimes referring to are code numbers used in the Bulgarian Subject Files (0805 Culture)
