István György Tóth had taught at several other universities in Hungary and abroad. In the period 1983-1986 he was a lecturer in the history of civilization at Loránd Eötvös University; from 1992 to 1997 he taught at the University of Miskolc and University of Veszprém. He was a visiting professor at Columbia University in New York, and at universities in Freiburg and Paris. This series includes notes mostly from his years at the University of Veszprém.
