The subfonds contains clippings mainly from Western press sources on some 200 000 personalities world-wide and subjects relating to the five East European target countries relating to Agriculture, Economic Conditions and Policy, Human Rights and Minorities, Intellectual life, Population, Prisons and Youth, etc. The subject files (series 16 - 25) relating to the East European countries contain mostly newspaper clippings from western press sources, news agency releases but also brochures on Agriculture, Economic Conditions and Policy, Intellectual life, Population, Prisons and Youth.
