Scope and content (abstract)

The subfonds includes documents from various sources on Gábor Demszky’s activities as member of the democratic opposition.

The first series includes the state security documents published by Gábor Demszky in Parallel Archives. In addition to daily operative reports, there are documents on several leading oppositional target persons and groups as well as events.

The second series is made up of documents on Gábor Demszky’s disciplinary case at the Law Faculty of ELTE University in 1972 and other later legal cases.

The series of the Csurka case includes the documents on the libel law suit against István Csurka, president of the Hungarian Justice and Life Party (MIÉP), and related press articles.
