Some analysts at the Radios chose to keep reference files that were separate from the central files. The analysts' files show the diversity of sources of information and the individual interests of analysts, all of which enriched the Radio's perceptions of Easte Europe and the U.S.S.R. The published products of the Department and its predecessors are found in the records of the Publication Department. Some of these products are also available in the Archives on microfiche.
