The series comprises clippings from the press, news agencies releases and some printed materials from Macedonia and other countries which emerged after the collapse of Yugoslavia. The materials illustrate the political development towards democracy and the construction of civil society together with the complex problematic of Albanian minority 1991-1997 in Macedonia. The files also cover economic issues: finance, industry, infrastructure, privatization, as well as political ones, such as foreign policy, citizenship, constitution, government, nationalism. Files on social issues contain important materials on churches, emigrants, standard of living, migration, social structure and others. These files are important for social scientists and historians interested in recent Macedonian history.
