Contents Summary

From the other shore.

Presenter Yuri Melnikov.

A mournful tune to the accompaniment of an old out-of-tune piano opens the program - Transfer of Memory of Varlam Shalamov prepared by friends and admirers of the late writer in Moscow

Magnitizdat document - Part two.

Unread poems by Shalamov in the first program, from his last poems recorded under dictation by his friend Alexander Morozov.

A short excerpt from A Morozov’s oral history about the last months and days of Varlam Shalamov’s life.

This entire story was apparently written down at home somewhere in Moscow in a narrow circle of friends.

The narrator reads the dictated poems of V. Shalamov that he recorded. These poems were published in 1981 in No. 133 of the Bulletin of the Russian Christian Movement, edited by N. Struve. Paris.

One of the famous Kalym stories by Shalamov is Sintencia. performed by the author himself.
