The series contains press clippings, news agencies releases and printed materials. It covers important political, social and economic events from the reign of the Yugoslav Federal Prime Minister Markovic through Milosevic’s coming to power in the League of Serbian Communists and his attempt to redesign the federal constitution by force using workers and associates in a so called anti-bureaucratic revolution and instigating Serb nationalistic sentiments across the Federation. The files also contain material on Milosevic’s wars in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and on Kosovo.

Of particular interest are biographical files and files on the political parties of the period. Other topics covered concern economy, problems of a state-run economy, the black market, corruption, inflation, privatization but also culture and media.
